Fulton County property owners are receiving the 2022 property value assessment statements. The assessment statement includes an estimate of taxes due later this year. The assessment itself is not a bill that must be paid now. The statement’s mailing date, however, does trigger a 45-day window of time during which you have the right to appeal your assessment if you feel it’s wrong or unfair.
The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Atlanta Legal Aid, and Grove Park Foundation are partnering to help guide property owners in BeltLine neighborhoods through the tax appeal process. An upcoming July 13th information session is designed to help you understand your property tax statement and the options available should you wish to appeal.
