The City of Atlanta is divided into twenty-five Neighborhood Planning Units or NPUs, which are citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on zoning, land use, special events and other planning issues.
The communities that comprise NPU-W consist of the following:
Benteen Park, Boulevard Heights, Custer/McDonough/Guice, East Atlanta, Grant Park, Ormewood Park and Woodland Hills.
Within the larger NPU-W are the following committees:
- Public Safety
- Land Use & Zoning
- Education and other committees not noted will be a combination of ad hoc and updates to the general body.
