Parking Day on Peachtree next week!

NEW DATE: Save the date for 9/30!
Park(ing) Day is an annual global event where cities transform and activate parking spaces to call attention to the need for more urban space for people. Join CAP and the Department of City Planning for Park(ing) Day on Thursday, September 30 from 11am-3pm to explore the Peachtree Shared Space.

We will have a range of free activities along all three blocks of the shared space. Plus, stop by the Peachtree Center Green Market, which will be going on from 11-1!
Activities include:

  • Chalk art by the Georgia Chalk Artists Guild throughout the Shared Space
  • Lawn Games
  • On street dining throughout the space – grab food along the corridor and sit outside!
  • Comedy + yoga
  • Architecture tours with Dean Baker, 12 pm and 2 pm, meeting at Baker and Peachtree
  • Dog portraits with the Peachtree Center skyscape – 1 -2 pm – bring your pup on by for a photo with iconic Atlanta architecture.

Register for your (free) ticket to Park(ing) Day here.
